Percussive rods and bits

Boart Longyear says its Robust Standard Thread series of percussive rods and bits are designed for underground drill and blast operations. They incorporate a larger cross-sectional transition area for a nearly 45- percent increase in bending strength, and the bit skirt is extended for improved interface. This is said to deliver improved impact efficiency for faster penetration rates, increased rod tip-off resistance, and reduced hole deviation. The series is capable of interchanging with standard rods and bits.
