When getting ready for MINExpo, I expected to see lots of interesting new things on the show floor. One site, however, was completely unexpected. On Tuesday, Sept. 27, the show floor closed down at 5 p.m. and became the site of what may be a MINExpo first – a wedding.

Jesse Townsend, an employee of Komatsu America Corp., says he really loves the company he works for — so much that he and his wife Mariana Balashova got married atop a Komatsu 930E truck. A video of the wedding can be seen on the Aggregates Manager Facebook page.

We wish the couple the best. This is one case where what happens in Las Vegas shouldn’t stay in Las Vegas.
