The Rollercone^® MVP over-sized roller bearing construction handles heavy operating loads, offers reliable operation, and delivers a long service life. The cone’s construction evenly distributes the load over the full 360-degree circumference, reducing friction and operational stresses on the crusher. The unique ElJay^® rotating wedge plate transmits 90% of the input energy to direct compression crushing.  The combination of the balanced wedge plate with bolt-on counterweights along with large roller thrust and radial bearings produce an action that is smooth, efficient, and nearly vibration free. Because there is less internal friction, the Rollercone^® MVP’s roller bearing design uses less horsepower than plain bushing cone crushers and directs more power into the crushing chamber.  This, along with the long stroke and steep chamber design, allows the Rollercone^® MVP to deliver more crushed product per hour at lower operating costs.

When running empty, the wedge rotates, but the Rollercone^® MVP cone head does not.  The built-in, anti-spin brake prevents the cone head from spinning. This feature increases manganese life because it prevents material from skidding on the wear liners. It also prevents ejecting material caused by contact with a free-wheeling cone head.

In addition to the oversized roller bearings, the Rollercone^® MVP features a rugged base frame construction for reduced maintenance. Its one-piece, cast frame eliminates residual weld stresses which can cause premature failures.

The Rollercone^® MVP features a full size feed entry and a vigorous upper cone crushing action to maximize throughput. Ten (10) crushing chamber configurations are available to enable producers to optimize crusher performance. Whether crushing hard rock or recycled concrete, the Rollercone^® MVP offers crushing chambers from coarse to extra-fine, fitting most any application.

The refined Rollercone^® MVP remote adjust system delivers precise control over product settings. Spring-applied, hydraulically-released brakes hold closed-side settings, delivering more product within specification. The upper assembly utilizes large threads of dissimilar metals to screw into the lower assembly. The powerful hydraulic remote adjustment system enables the operator to easily fine tune the crusher to meet product specs “on the fly,” even under full load, making the Rollercone^® MVP an extremely versatile cone crusher.

Terex Cedarapids is the innovator of the hydropneumatic tramp iron relief system and employs several large, 5-gallon accumulators to protect the crusher when encountering uncrushable material. A feature unique to the Rollercone^® system is that it is fully manifolded. All accumulators are connected so that they equally share the stresses generated by a major tramp event, providing redundant protection of crusher components.

Available in stationary and portable plant configurations, four Rollercone^® MVP models – MVP 280, MVP 380, MVP 450 and MVP 550 – offer producers unmatched productivity and throughput.
