Alliance Scale, Inc.
Portable Truck Scale

Alliance Scale, Inc., introduced a high-capacity, portable truck scale that can be moved from site to site. The Alliance Portable Truck Scale features Rice Lake’s Survivor ATV Series steel deck. Available in sizes ranging from 10 to 80 feet in length and 10, 11, or 12 feet in width, the scale provides up to 100 tons of capacity. Featuring pre-assembled deck modules with self-seating hinge connectors, the scale is designed to be portable.

Actronic Technologies
Loadout management

Actronic Technologies released the new Loadrite Loadout Management System. Designed to use data captured from the line’s onboard scales, the management system provides quarry, regional, and corporate staff members greater visibility to loadout operations. Using radio modems and ruggedized in-cab displays, loader operators know what trucks are waiting within the quarry, receive confirmation on required product, know how much product is requested, and can check how long a customer has been waiting. The company says that every movement of machines and material becomes trackable.

Trackmobile, Inc.
Tier 3 railcar movers

Trackmobile, Inc. offers two new railcar movers that incorporate Cummins Tier 3 engines, the Command Post operator environment, and CAN bus control systems, among other features. The Titan Series units options include Trackmobile Radio Control, Track Mobile Ground Control System, and cab air conditioning. The Hercules Series features the Command Post operator environment and Force 12 pneumatics.

Vulcan On-Board Scales
Dump truck weighing

Vulcan On-Board Scales’ new dump truck weighing system helps operators save time during the loading, weighing, and re-loading process. Its latest offering provides options including a system display of gross vehicle or net payload weight. Axle weight may be chosen for applications where the user needs to know individual axle weights. The system is said to provide accuracy within 1 percent of gross vehicle weight and is recommended for on-road and off-road applications.

TruckWeight
Wireless onboard scale

TruckWeight’s Smart Scale uses sensors to measure temperature and pressure changes in a vehicle’s air suspension and relays the data to a handheld receiver using a lower-powered radio transmitter. The sensors produce a weight measurement that’s within 0.3 percent of the actual gross vehicle weight. Because it’s wireless, the system allows the operator to monitor gross and axle weights from up to 500 feet away. Installation typically takes 30 minutes for a standard five-axle tractor-trailer and requires no special tools or skills.

Rice Lake Weighing Systems
Wheel loader scale

Rice Lake’s WLS-1 Wheel Loader Scale provides on-the-go weighing for front loaders. Designed as an on-board weighing management tool, the WLS-1 offers load accuracy within 1 percent without stopping the loader or bucket to capture a weight. This optimizes the amount weighed during loading, reduces trips to a scale, and avoids overloads, underloads, and fines. An LCD monitor provides easy data collection and storage. Weighing is automatic.

Emery Winslow Scale Co.
Low-profile truck scale

The Flat Top II, from Emery Winslow Scale Co., is a low-profile truck scale that combines electronic instrumentation with a long-wearing, hydrostatic, load cell weight-sensing system. Because the system has no electronics in the scale platform, the 75,000-pound stainless steel load cells carry a lifetime guarantee against damage from flooding, lightning, or power surges. Other features include a free-floating bridge design and a tubular, low-profile weighbridge. The scale is NTEP approved.

Fairbanks Scale
On-board weighing

The Loadtronic II system, from Fairbanks Scales, is a dynamic on-board weighing system for wheel loaders. It automatically registers important weighing information during product loading, including product type, destination, and amount loaded. The data is saved in the system’s main unit and can be printed in a receipt format. Automatic compensation of charging forces, including uneven surfaces, is achieved as various sensors continuously measure the position of the lifting arms and the applied hydraulic pressure.

Advanced Weighing Systems
Quoting capabilities

Advanced Weighing Systems’ Interact Software can now generate job quotes. Instead of requiring a separate application to generate quotes, they can be formulated within the software. Once a customer accepts a quote, it can be converted into a job and used in the normal manner. Interact also allows a producer to duplicate a quote and to update it in order to avoid complete re-entry. A quote template may be used to generate multiple jobs.

Cardinal Scale
Extra-large display

Cardinal Scale’s new 210FE digital weight indicator features an extra-large display with remote controllability, dual serial ports, NEMA 4X/IP66 protection, flexible print formats, powers eight load cells, numeric keypad, auto shutoff, and selectable key lockout in a 15-inch-wide by 9.7-inch-high stainless steel enclosure with 2.24-inch-high LED digits and giant key sizes for use with gloved fingers. Highly visible by drivers when loading over a scale, the indicator allows remote wireless input device and tare, print, or zero directly from the driver’s seat.
