Jaw design double crushes
A new bulletin from Universal Engineering describes the features and benefits of its line of overhead eccentric jaw crushers. The inward and downward movement of the jaw “force feeds” material through the crusher as it receives primary crushing at the top of the jaws and secondary crushing action at the bottom, according to the manufacturer. Setting the safety toggle plate at a steep angle produces the secondary crushing action, the company says. InfoExpress 714

Available in 1/8-, 3/16-, 5/32-, 1/4-, and 3/8-in. openings and 3/8- x 1-in. slots, the screens can directly replace most popular OEM designs. InfoExpress 715

Mobile screen has belt feed hopper
Powerscreen says its mobile Warrior 1400 Reclaimer sizes up to 550 tons per hour with an inclined, 5- x 12-ft. double-deck vibrating screen. An 8.87-cu.-yd. belt feed hopper has a 4-ft. wide opening to eliminate material restrictions to the screen box. The rear hopper wall folds down hydraulically to allow level material feed from a crusher discharge conveyor. Two 36-in. side discharge conveyors handle intermediate and fine products; an oversize tail conveyor with impact bars over its full length handles top-deck overs. The tracked unit is powered by a 109-hp Caterpillar engine. InfoExpress 716

Jaws crunch concrete, steel
Stanley LaBounty’s UP45SV Universal Processor replaces its model UP50. The two-cylinder design provides more power than single-cylinder attachments and allows the jaws to align onto material more easily, the company says. A slotted pivot makes jaw change-out easier and faster — complete in 10 to 20 minutes, according to Stanley LaBounty. The attachment has 360-degree powered rotation. Universal Processor jaw options include concrete pulverizer; shear, for structural steel and rebar; concrete cracking, for oversized concrete pieces; and plate shear, for storage tanks.
