Cat upgrades Hydraulic Excavator
The 365B L Series II machine will replace the 365B L hydraulic excavator in the Caterpillar line. Larger diameter boom cylinders and a new geometry for the stick cylinder on the reach boom increase lift capacity by 19 percent compared to the former model, Cat said. The 365B L Series II comes equipped with a Cat 3196ATAAC engine that delivers 404 net hp. It has an operating weight of 150,200 lbs., top travel speed of 2.6 mph, and maximum bucket force of 74,200 lbs. Maximum reach is 46.1 ft.; maximum digging depth is 31 ft.
Backup Alarms Fit Range of Machines
Superior Signals introduces the Safe-T-Alert 2000, 2500, and 3000 series backup alarms. These alarm series have decibel ratings from 82 to 107 dB. The 12- to 80-volt units are available in self- or manual-adjusting models. These alarms are designed for light to heavy-duty industrial machines.
Stronger Wire Available for Screen Media
W.S. Tyler introduces its Ty-Ger Wire for high-wear screening applications. Ty-Ger Wire, stronger than traditional stainless and basic steel, is made to be a high-wear, tear-resistant, elastic wire, according to the manufacturer. It can be used as a replacement wire in a variety of screen media.
Portable Washing and Screening Plant
The Aggre-Washer and Screening plant from Greystone, Inc., is designed to be relocated and set up ready to process fine materials within a single shift, according to the manufacturer. The plant comes equipped with either a single- or twin-dewatering screw classifier. Optional features include 24- and 30-in. wide reversible cross conveyors for screen discharge.
Kawasaki Expands Wheel Loader Line
Kawasaki recently introduced the latest addition to its wheel loader line. The 135ZIV-2 is a 12-cu. yd. wheel loader designed to load 50- to 85-ton haul trucks. The loader is powered by a Cummins QST30, 720 FWHO engine, with a maximum of 1,050 hp. Other features include an automatic traction control system, variable-displacement piston pumps, and helical transfer gears.
Telescoping Transfer Conveyor Replaces Multiple Units
The new Extender-Plus transfer conveyor from Superior Industries is a hydraulically-operated system designed to replace multiple transfer conveyor units, according to the manufacturer. Its main conveyor is 80 ft. long with a 70-in.-deep truss. The telescoping conveyor is also 80 ft. long but has a 54-in.-deep truss with head section. A double-axle carrier with two hydraulic landing legs provides portability.
Scale Provides Truck and Axle Weights
The new Traxle, from Weigh-Tronix, is designed to provide individual axle and total truck weights. Traxle uses measurement acquisition software and innovative sensor polling to calculate both weights on a single-scale platform, according to the manufacturer. The weight values are displayed on the WPI-135 indicator and can be transmitted to a printer or computer.
Screen Withstands Greater Impact
Major Wire Industries offers the Double-Weave screen cloth, designed to withstand greater impact forces. According to the manufacturer, the cloth works especially well in pre-scalping large feed materials ranging from 6 to 16 in. The screen is made from an oil-tempered, high-carbon steel OptimumWire.

Universal Engineering recently authorized five companies to sell its equipment in 10 states and two Canadian provinces. The companies (and territories) include Spreitzer, Inc. (Iowa, Minnesota, and Nebraska); Continental Equipment Co. (Missouri, Kansas, and southern Illinois); MPS Machinery Co. (eastern Texas); Northwest Machinery Sales, LLC.
