Baldor’s Dodge® MagnaGear XTR™ Available in More Sizes and Multiple Configurations for Perfect Fit
Fort Smith, Ark. – Baldor Electric Company announces an expanded size range and multiple configurations for the Dodge MagnaGear XTR reducer. This extra tough reducer is designed for reliability, ease of maintenance and superior performance in tough, high-torque applications.
MagnaGear XTR reducers’ simple power-dense design offers torque ratings from 100,000 to 920,000 in lbs., assuring increased power in a more compact, economical, heavy-duty package. With this torque range, MagnaGear XTR reducers will accommodate horsepowers of over 2,500HP.
Utilizing a modular design, MagnaGear XTR reducers are available in parallel shaft or right-angle configurations. Sizes 390k and below offer a solid or hollow shaft output. Sizes 525k and above include solid shaft output. The hollow shaft option features a patented twin-tapered bushing system, which minimizes wobble for longer life and is also easy to install and remove.
The reducers also come in several mounting configurations, including swing-base and tunnel housings to suit particular applications. The universal housing reversible mounting gives the option of right hand or left hand mounting for flexibility and minimizing spares.
This cast iron reducer features gearing that is carburized, hardened and precision ground. The highest quality tandem HBNR lip seals are standard for extra protection, all bearings exceed AGMA standards for L10 life, and all components are power matched for optimum performance at a lower installed cost.
Engineered to perform in the toughest conditions, the Dodge MagnaGear XTR is ideal for bulk material handling in dirty, dusty, harsh environments found in mining industries.
