NASHVILLE, Tenn. (March 23, 2011) – Bridgestone Americas Off Road Tire, a division of Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations, LLC, has developed an enhanced line of large loader tires for the mining, quarry and coal industries in North America.
The 45/65-45 DuraLoad off road tire features a new, flatter crown radius for larger, more even footprint pressure and less heat generation leading to longer tire life. The new DuraLoad tire’s innovative design allows for easier mounting and includes shoulder tie bars.
“We were targeting enhanced durability and reduced heat generation while incorporating new designs and construction types during the creation of the next generation of large and giant loader tires,” said Shawn Rasey, President, Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations, Off Road division. “We feel that we have accomplished that with the new DuraLoad tire, making L-4, L-5 and L5S designs available to fit the needs of most loader operations both with and without chains.”
The new DuraLoad, designed to optimize traction and wear life, will be available in both L4 and L5 designs, beginning with the 45/65-45 L5 NS, starting the second quarter of 2011. It will be on display beginning March 22, 2011, in the Bridgestone booth #2501-North Hall at CONEXPO-CON/AGG in Las Vegas.
