Bridgestone Americas tire operations establishes mining tire business
Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations (BATO) has formed an integrated mining tire business unit and reorganized the Bridgestone Commercial Group.
The new business unit, Bridgestone Mining Solutions, combines all mining tire sales, service, and sales engineering, as well as a select group of U.S. and Canadian stores, into one integrated structure.
Shawn Rasey will lead the new organization as vice president of Bridgestone Mining Solutions.
“We are very excited to begin this new chapter with our mining tire business,” said Kurt Danielson, president of Bridgestone Commercial Solutions (BACS), in a press release. “The formation of Bridgestone Mining Solutions will allow us to enhance our mining offerings and be more responsive to our mining customers’ needs.”
In addition, BATO announced several personnel changes within its commercial tire operations to strengthen structural clarity, efficiency, and profitability.
Within BACS, John Boynton has accepted the role of vice president of sales for TBR, Retread, and Construction Tires.
Within BATO’s Company Owned Operations Group (COO), Doyle Bradford has accepted the position of vice president of sales and operations.
A new position also has been created to assist in developing and executing long-term strategies for all commercial businesses. Stacey Simmons has accepted the role of director of strategic planning.
“Under this new structure, we have created a very dynamic and effective leadership team for our commercial tire organization,” Ken Weaver, president of U.S. & Canada Commercial Tire Sales Division, BATO, said in a written statement. “With these changes, our business will also be more streamlined, more responsive to changing market conditions, and better positioned to achieve our goal of providing customers with comprehensive, solution-based offerings.”
