The MG20 is a compact finger operated twist handle control that provides the operator with intuitive control in applications requiring rotational or bi-directional motion. The ± 45 ° displacement provides the operator with smooth, wide resolution control in a wide variety of applications. The output signal is produced by long life Hall-effect technology that is integrated into the cylindrical handle.

The MG20 twist handle can be mounted to our PRO and CS series joysticks thereby producing up to 3 axes of coordinated control. The environmental resistance of these joysticks with the MG20 handle make them ideal for applications such as marine steering and docking control, material handling vehicle control, construction equipment accessory control, security camera system control and many others.

Standard harp or piano wire screens use hard metal or plastic slides to hold the wires in place at the crown bar. The wires vibrate against the slides, which in turn vibrate against the crown, causing breakage. Major Wire’s high-performance LFM Harp Wire is manufactured with straight wires firmly molded into polyurethane strips that hold the wires in place at the crown bar. With its wires embedded into flexible polyurethane strips instead of rigid slides, LFM Harp Wire eliminates this steel-on-steel wear. The polyurethane strips at the crown bars keep the wires equally tensioned, creating better wire vibration when compared to traditional harp or woven wire cloth, reducing blinding and increasing production of a cleaner aggregate product. In addition, LFM Harp Wire’s long slots (up to 12 inches) provide more open area to increase screen capacity.

Because of its unique design, LFM Harp Wire handles high-impact loads better and lasts up to twice as long as conventional harp and piano wire. Additionally, LFM Harp Wire screen media is available in custom configurations to match unique screens and applications. Producers can choose from the commonly selected stainless steel wire or Major Wire’s highly abrasion-resistant OptimumWire® high carbon and high manganese content wire; number and placement of polyurethane strips; a wide range of wire diameters per opening sizes; optional polyurethane intermediate strips for better wire stability and spec material control; and an optional polyurethane side seal, which provides the tightest possible seal.

Celebrating more than 125 years in business, Major Wire Industries Limited designs, manufactures and markets screening solutions, including Flex-Mat® 3 High-Performance, Self-Cleaning Screen Media in tensioned and modular versions; OptimumWireÒ woven tempered and stainless steel wire cloth; and polyurethane panels for the quarry, mining, recycling and industrial markets. Major Wire is ISO 9001:2008 registered. When Apex sends a print signal to the printer, it activates the camera to take a digital still photo of the vehicle on the scale. The ticket information is then superimposed on the captured image which can later be moved to the central office using Apex Data Replication.

Features:

Easy retrieval of the photos by ticket number

Provides ironclad proof of vehicle pickup without signatures

Optional anti-theft module captures anomalous events

Ability to print or e-mail photos to customers

Single images along with raw video are stored for a complete accounting of any incident

Ticket information on the video image is customizable

Compatible with Apex software

Multiple cameras may be utilized

Total site security is available with add-on cameras

Accessible via the Web

ROI may be as short as 1 year.

The base ‘Scale Watcher’ system provides hardware, software and (1) year software maintenance for one camera and one scale. The base system is capable of handling up to four PC hardware. More than four cameras requires a software and hardware upgrade.

New Anti-Theft Features

Valve Sensing

Scale Watcher II now allows your DVS to “listen” for when the valve/gates open and close to release your product from your silos and no ticket is generated from the software, then a Valve Alert will be captured with photos of the truck that was being loaded. You can also configure the system to automatically e-mail real-time alerts if desired.

Scale Sensing

Our new technology now allows your DVS to “listen” for tucks pulling on and off the scale. If one of the below events occur, a photo of the scale event will be captured and an e-mail alert can be generated.

Alert Triggers

No Ticket- Truck was on the scale and left but no ticket was generated.

Tare Weight Contamination- Tare weight was above the treshold.

Gross Ticket Mismatch- The max weight read from the scale was not within a reasonable difference from the actual ticket weight.

Overweight- The weight read from the scale exceeds the vehicle’s designated GVW.

Scale Connection Lost/Restored- DVS cannot communicate with scale indicator.

The Cool Hard Hat is helping workers stay cooler and end the work day with more energy. The new model of the Cool Hard Hat will be introduced at the Tulsa Pipeline Expo Show September 2, 2010. The heat stress display at the Show demonstrates the incredible cooling effect of the Cool Hard Hat.

The Cool Hard Hat is a revolutionary pantented air-cooled hard hat developed by Tom English, a general contractor for over 30 years. English claims than in all of his years and experience in construction, The Cool Hard Hat is the best tool he has ever used and couldn’t imagine having to work without it. The rechargeabe batteries (with the recharger built into hat) power two fans to blow air on the of the neck and top of the head at a rate of over 8 cubic feet of air per minute. This lowers the interior temperature of the hard hat by more than 20 degrees. Watch the Video on the Company’s website to see the incredible cooling demonstration. The natural evaporation cooling process helps workers stay cool, fight fatigue and increase productivity. Vented hard hats are now obsolete as the popular cooling option. The hat can run up to 12 hours per charge of the batteries and can be recharged overnight.

The Cool Hard Hat meets all OSHA and ANSI standards and is Intrinsically Safe.

Kansas City, MO – Once again, Fairbanks Scales demonstrates its expertise with the introduction of Fairbanks Access Solutions, a comprehensive vehicle identification and weighing system, that can automate one or more lanes at the scale house.

The system starts with the Access Entry Station. Loaded with features, this advanced entry unit greets vehicles arriving at a site, both audibly and visually, using a crisp color screen. Its ability to integrate easily with truck scale and flow meters enables it to measure and weigh the amount of any material being dropped off or picked up.

The Access Entry station quickly captures essential transaction information and sends it to our MatreX Processing System. MatreX is a powerful, SQL-based transaction processing system that provides real-time data. It can consolidate transaction data from multiple sites, then produce a variety of reports or export data to billing systems. The result: fast, accurate data processing with minimum effort.

Our system’s ability to operate without an attendant can extend a customer’s operating hours while saving labor costs. In addition, its ability to automatically identify and weigh vehicles reduces manual data entry and potential for costly errors.

Our system is ideal for a wide variety of applications, including landfills, transfer stations, quarries, recycling plants, paper plans and other material-handling operations. The system’s ability to operate without an attendant and accept credit card payments is particularly valuable to operations that accept or sell consumer material for a fee.

The Access Entry Station’s intuitive screens and easy operation enable vehicle processing every 15 to 45 seconds without an attendant. In addition, its ability to process credit cards while operating unattended can expand a customer base and extend the operating hours, while reducing labor costs.

The system is designed to complement and improve the performance of a customer’s management system. Based on Microsoft’s latest platform, “.NET” and Microsoft SQL Server, the system can be integrated with any management system.

The Access Post Supports optional equipment that helps improve a customer’s operation’s speed and accuracy. Easy-to-read signage quickly tells drivers what to do. A long-range RFID reader can quickly identify a vehicle with an RFID transponder as it approaches the processing area. The vehicle’s identification number is sent automatically to the MatreX system for processing. Other options include a security camera to provide the ultimate in processing security.

The MB crusher bucket was the first of its kind to arrive on the market and operates by exploiting the hydraulic system of the excavators on which it is installed.

It can be used on the entire range of excavators, from 8 tons upwards, and its areas of application are numerous: demolition work, building work in general, upgrading of ex industrial and urban areas, treatment of material from excavation work, the earth moving sector and road work, quarries and mines, environmental clearance work and rock breaking applications.

Its versatility and consequent advantages have led to a large scale production of the MB crusher bucket: the bucket crushes any type of material directly on site, with the exception of iron, and enables the collection of the product to be crushed for storage on trucks or in the excavated hole to be filled, thus making for more rapid work.

MB crusher buckets enable a significant reduction in outlay costs and the recycling of inert material without needing to pass via landfills, the latter a fundamental factor both in terms of respect of the environment and savings in disposal.

MB offers 4 models of crusher buckets. The flexibility of the bucket crusher is extraordinary, enabling small and large firms alike, working in the building, demolition, and earth moving sectors in general, to recycle material obtained from crushing directly on site. MB products are highly efficient, not only in building and excavation work, but also in special applications, such as land clearance, vine trenching and rock breaking applications.

As well as the bucket crusher, MB has also developed an iron separator, fundamental for the separation of iron from inert material. The MB iron separator is the result of constant research aimed at finding innovative solutions able to simplify the operations of crushing and separation of iron from inert material, thus enabling the resale of materials, with notable profits for companies.

ATLANTA, August 2010 —Powered by a 463-horsepower turbocharged Isuzu diesel engine, the DX700LC has an operating weight of 158,953 pounds with standard boom and arm, 35.4-inch double grouser shoes and 4.32-cubic-yard bucket. Optional buckets range in size from 3.27 to 5.89 cubic yards.

Bucket breakout force is 78,485 pounds with the standard bucket, while arm breakout force is 78,044 pounds. Maximum digging reach is 42 feet 7 inches at ground level and maximum digging depth is 27 feet 7 inches. Dump height is 27 feet 4 inches.

The long carriage (LC) design of the DX700LC, along with the 13-foot-11-inch width of the fully expanded undercarriage, offers optimum stability and safety in all kinds of digging, lifting and loading applications. Thanks to high swing torque of 48,369 pounds, the DX700LC works efficiently on slopes. Swing speed is 7.1 rpm.Fuel-efficient Tier 3 engine

The 6-cylinder “common rail” Isuzu AH-6WG1X engine features a high-pressure fuel injection system that improves combustion efficiency while reducing particulate matter. At the same time, exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) lowers the combustion temperature, reducing nitrogen oxide emissions on the Tier 3 compliant engine.

An electronic power optimizing system (e-POS), connected to the engine’s electronic control via a data transfer link, harmonizes the operation of the engine and the hydraulic system, further minimizing fuel consumption.

The DX700LC offers a new power mode control system that provides optimum power and efficiency under all operating conditions. The four modes include:

Power mode for heavy-duty digging and loading.

Standard mode for heavy-duty dumping, and general and breaker operation.

Economy mode for medium-duty digging, loading and dumping.

Lifting mode for lifting pipes or beams.

The unit’s positive control piston pump and open center valve enable fine metering of hydraulic flow for smooth, precise control of machine functions. Flow regeneration conserves energy and enables increased boom and arm cycles. Both the boom and arm cylinders are cushioned to provide smooth end-of-stroke operation while the holding system prevents attachments from falling when the controls are in the neutral position.

An automatic 2-speed travel system controls travel speed and tractive force. In high range, maximum travel speed is 2.9 mph. Drawbar pull is 107,806 pounds.

Operator comfort

As with all Doosan excavators, the operator’s cab is spacious, quiet and comfortable, with ergonomic controls and instrumentation. Joystick control stands raise and lower with the suspension seat while the seat itself slides forward and back to accommodate any operator.

In addition, the DX700LC is designed to keep machine noise levels as low as possible to reduce operator fatigue and make it easier for bystanders to communicate. The noise level at the operator’s ear is 76 dBA while the noise level for bystanders is a very low 108 dBA.

Ease of maintenance

The DX700LC shares the extended lubrication intervals of the entire Doosan excavator range, including 500-hour engine service intervals. Other ease-of-maintenance features include:

Wide side access doors that make cleaning radiators and coolers quick and easy.

A large capacity engine air precleaner that removes more than 99 percent of airborne particles and extends filter cartridge service life.
