Prior to his promotion Wells served as product manager of dump trailers and director of dealer development. 

Wells began his career at East by gaining hands-on experience building trailers in the shop. Wells also spent six years working for a truck dealer and another trailer manufacturer before resuming his career at East, where his sales duties were expanded to include marketing and management responsibilities.
