The Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) issued a Close Call Accident Alert following a truck rollover accident at a cement plant. The operator was driving a water truck back to the plant from the quarry when he reached for the CB radio to change to a channel used by the haul trucks. When the driver took his eyes off the road to look at the CB, the front wheel of the truck caught the edge of the pavement, pulling the truck off the road and causing it to rollover. The driver was wearing his seat belt and was not injured. He exited the truck through the windshield.
