In February, the AGG 1 Forum & Expo will showcase a collection of new products and equipment for the aggregates industry. Here’s a preview of what you can see at the show.

Dredging Supply Co.

Dredging winches

Dredging Supply Co., Inc. will showcase its winches designed specifically for dredging applications. The company says its winches feature excellent braking capability to absorb energy as the load is slowed, even speed control, and larger drum diameters for increased cable storage capacity. The drums include a level wind mechanism to ensure smooth, even spooling of the cable.

IRock Crushers

Attach/remove hopper easily

IRock Crushers will display its new Hydraset Hopper System for its RDS-15 and RDS-20 rock crushing equipment lines. According to the company, the system is designed to attach and remove the hopper/feeder module as a unit without the aid of any outside lifting devices, allowing the entire unit to be transported and set up safely and easily by one person in just minutes. The system has its own internal power pack.

Major Wire

Stronger than traditional woven wire

Though it isn’t brand new, Major Wire Industries plans to display its OptimumWire woven wire screen media for the first time at AGG 1. The company says the screen media is manufactured with a high carbon and manganese content to provide better abrasion resistance and performance, and its high ductility, hardness, and tensile strength make it less susceptible to breaking in high impact conditions.

Martin Engineering

Skirtboard seal with twice the wear life

Martin Engineering will feature a patented conveyor skirtboard seal that installs on the sides of a belt conveyor loading zone and provides two wear surfaces. When the bottom side of the strip against the belt is worn, the strip can be flipped over to provide a second wear life.

Universal Crusher

Reduces quarry shot limestone

Universal Crusher plans to display its VersaCap primary impact crusher, the Shot-Rock, which is designed to reduce quarry shot limestone. The crusher features reversible hammers with a protruding leading edge to provide longer wear life and an “adjust-on-the-fly” capability option. The unit is available in three sizes.

Superior Industries

Updated conveyor pulley line

Superior Industries plans to unveil pieces from its updated conveyor pulley line at the show next month. In addition to the company’s mine duty, super duty, and engineered class style pulley lines, the new v-shaped Chevron wing pulley will be on display. It is designed to deflect incoming material out and away, making it nearly impossible for rocks and other material to wedge between the pulley’s fins.

Eriez

Energy-saving electromagnetic feeders

Eriez says it will be displaying three versions of vibratory feeders and bin vibrators at AGG 1 — the B electromagnetic feeders which use less energy with their patented AC drive, the HV mechanical feeders (shown) which offer a low profile and rubber springs outboard on the base for smooth feed, and the BF mechanical feeder which features the Eriez ERV rotary motor for rugged applications.
