Diesel fuel price report: April 7, 2014

U.S. diesel fuel prices are down for the fourth consecutive week, falling $0.016 per gallon for the week ending April 7.

This week, diesel prices also fell in all U.S. regions.

The Central Atlantic region experienced the greatest weekly decrease this week, with diesel costing $0.032 per gallon less than a week ago but $0.143 more than a year ago.

The average price for diesel in the U.S. this week is $0.016 per gallon lower than a week ago and $0.018 per gallon lower than a year ago.

Year-over-year costs declined in six regions and rose in four.
