Diesel fuel price report: February 10, 2014

U.S. diesel fuel prices have risen for the third consecutive week, climbing $0.026 per gallon for the week ending February 10.

This week, diesel prices also rose in most U.S. regions, with only one region experiencing declining costs.

The Central Atlantic region experienced the greatest weekly increase, with diesel costing $0.082 per gallon more than a week ago [2] and $0.147 per gallon more than a year ago.

The West Coast less California region was the only area to experience falling costs. Diesel prices in this region are $0.001 per gallon less than a year ago and $0.286 lower than a year ago.

The average price for diesel in the U.S. this week is $0.026 per gallon less than a week ago but $0.127 per gallon lower than a year ago.

Year-over-year costs declined in all but three regions.
