Diesel fuel price report: February 24, 2014

U.S. diesel fuel prices are up for the fifth consecutive week, rising $0.028 per gallon for the week ending February 24.

This week, diesel prices also rose in every U.S. region.

The Rocky Mountain region experienced the greatest weekly increase, with diesel costing $0.045 per gallon more than a week ago and $0.107 per gallon more than a year ago.

The average price for diesel in the U.S. this week is $0.028 per gallon more than a week ago but $0.142 per gallon lower than a year ago.

Year-over-year costs declined in all but two regions.
