Diesel fuel price report: January 13, 2014

Following three consecutive weeks of rising diesel costs, U.S. diesel fuel prices have fallen $0.024 per gallon for the week ending January 13.

This week, diesel prices also fell in all U.S. regions.

The West Coast less California region experienced the greatest weekly decline, with diesel costing $0.043 per gallon less than a week ago and $0.009 per gallon less than a year ago.

The average price for diesel in the U.S. this week is $0.024 per gallon lower than a week ago and $0.008 per gallon lower than a year ago.

Year-over-year costs varied from region to region, rising in some areas and declining in others. All prices reflect on-highway diesel fuel costs.
