Diesel fuel price report: January 27, 2014

Following two consecutive weeks of declining costs, U.S. diesel fuel prices have risen $0.031 per gallon for the week ending January 27.

This week, diesel prices also rose in all U.S. regions.

The Central Atlantic region experienced the greatest weekly increase, with diesel costing $0.084 per gallon more than a week ago and $0.038 per gallon more than a year ago.

The average price for diesel in the U.S. this week is $0.031 per gallon higer than a week ago but $0.023 per gallon lower than a year ago.

Year-over-year costs declined in all but three regions.
