Diesel fuel price report: June 16, 2014

U.S. diesel fuel prices are down for the seventh consecutive week, falling $0.010 per gallon for the week ending June 16.

This week, diesel prices also fell in eight of 10 U.S. regions.

The Central Atlantic region experienced the greatest weekly decline this week, with diesel costing $0.027 per gallon less than a week ago. However, prices in the region are $0.172 more than a year ago.

The greatest weekly increase occurred in the West Coast less California region, where diesel costs $0.004 per gallon more than a week ago and $0.029 more than a year ago.

The average price for diesel in the U.S. this week is $0.041 per gallon higher than a year ago.

Year-over-year costs rose in all but one region.
