Diesel fuel price report: June 17, 2013

Following three weeks of decreases, U.S. diesel fuel prices increased in half of the reported regions this week.

The Midwest experienced the largest weekly decline at $0.018 per gallon less than last week [2] but $0.204 per gallon higher than a year ago.

The greatest increase occurred in California, where diesel fuel prices climbed $0.014 per gallon over last week and $0.056 year-over-year.

The average price for diesel in the U.S. this week continued to fall. Diesel prices in the U.S. are $0.008 per gallon lower than a week ago but $0.12 per gallon higher than a year ago.

All prices reflect on-highway diesel fuel costs.
