Diesel fuel price report: June 2, 2014

U.S. diesel fuel prices are down for the fifth consecutive week, falling $0.007 per gallon for the week ending June 2.

This week, diesel prices also fell in nine of the 10 U.S. regions, while one region held steady.

The Central Atlantic region experienced the greatest weekly decline this week, with diesel costing $0.011 per gallon less than a week ago and $0.032 less than a year ago.

The Gulf Coast was the only region to remain unchanged for the week.

The average price for diesel in the U.S. this week is $0.049 per gallon higher than a year ago.

Year-over-year costs rose in all but one region.
