Diesel fuel price report: March 17, 2014

After one week of rising costs, U.S. diesel fuel prices are down $0.018 per gallon for the week ending March 17.

This week, diesel prices also fell in all U.S. regions.

The New England region experienced the greatest weekly decrease this week, with diesel costing $0.049 per gallon less than a week ago but $0.109 more than a year ago.

The average price for diesel in the U.S. this week is $0.018 per gallon lower than a week ago and $0.044 per gallon lower than a year ago.

Year-over-year costs declined in six regions and rose in four.
