Diesel fuel price report: March 24, 2014

U.S. diesel fuel prices are down for the second consecutive week, falling $0.015 per gallon for the week ending March 24.

This week, diesel prices also fell in all U.S. regions.

The Central Atlantic region experienced the greatest weekly decrease this week, with diesel costing $0.037 per gallon less than a week ago but $0.168 more than a year ago.

The average price for diesel in the U.S. this week is $0.015 per gallon lower than a week ago and $0.018 per gallon lower than a year ago.

Year-over-year costs declined in six regions and rose in four.
