Diesel fuel price report: May 12, 2014

U.S. diesel fuel prices are down for the second consecutive week, falling $0.016 per gallon for the week ending May 12.

This week, diesel prices also fell in all 10 U.S. regions.

The New England region experienced the greatest weekly decline this week, with diesel costing $0.024 per gallon less than a week ago but $0.162 more than a year ago.

The average price for diesel in the U.S. this week is $0.016 per gallon lower than a week ago and $0.082 per gallon higher than a year ago.

Year-over-year costs rose in all regions.
