Diesel fuel price report: May 13, 2013

Despite recent declines, U.S. diesel fuel prices increased in nearly every region this week. The Central Atlantic region experienced the only decline in the United States, with a $0.001 per gallon decrease. All other regions experienced increases, with the West Coast less California experiencing the largest jump at $0.053 per gallon more than last week [2] but $0.309 less than a year ago.

Though weekly prices jumped, diesel prices are generally continuing to decline year-over-year. Diesel prices in the U.S. are $0.021 more than a week ago but $0.138 less than a year ago.
