Diesel fuel price report: May 27, 2014

U.S. diesel fuel prices are down for the fourth consecutive week, falling $0.009 per gallon for the week ending May 26.

This week, diesel prices also fell in eight of the 10 U.S. regions.

The Midwest region experienced the greatest weekly decline this week, with diesel costing $0.017 per gallon less than a week ago and $0.032 less than a year ago.

The average price for diesel in the U.S. this week is $0.045 per gallon higher than a year ago.

Year-over-year costs rose in all but one region.
