Caterpillar’s new 966K XE wheel loader will be on display at AGG1. The company says the loader delivers up to a 25-percent fuel efficiency improvement, meeting the needs for both efficiency and sustainability, while simplifying the operator’s interface and operating technique. It features a C9.3 ACERT diesel engine; an integrated, continuously variable transmission system; and a hydraulic pump and motor that allow smooth and continuous gear ration change between engine speed and machine speed. The operator has the ability to control maximum ground speed through the use of virtual gears to provide flexibility in various applications.
