A 40-acre fire at Fish Canyon in Los Angeles, California, drew about 150 firefighters on Tuesday, according to a report from the San Gabriel Valley Tribune [2].

The fire occurred just east of a Vulcan Materials rock quarry. It started around 2:53 p.m. and was eliminated shortly after 4 p.m.

The fire’s location near the quarry helped keep the blaze contained, since there was little fuel for it.

Officials said no homes or structures were threatened, and the fire caused no injuries. Three firefighters sustained minor injuries during a rock slide while cleaning up after the blaze.

Investigators are looking into the cause of the fire.
