Joe Main nominated to head MSHA
President Obama has nominated Joe Main to be the next Administrator of the U.S. Mine Safety and Health Administration. Main formerly served as the administrator for occupational health and safety for the United Mine Workers of America and earned a reputation as an advocate for workers’ rights. The nomination will go before the Senate committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions.
