Dan Slife, previously with Terex, has recently been named international sales /application sales engineer for Lippmann Milwaukee Inc., a Wisconsin-based manufacturer of crushing equipment that serves the aggregate, recycle crushing, and mining industries.
Lippmann is currently increasing its presence in the global marketplace, primarily due to significant interest in their newly expanded line of track-mounted, portable, and stationary jaw and impact crushing equipment.
Specifically, Slife will address Lippmann’s international dealer development program and local representation.
From 1994 through 2010, Slife helped manage the international arena for Cedarapids, where he provided project support for overseas dealers and contractors, supplying applications expertise, and developing flow diagrams balancing material characteristics with proper feed size, machine selection, production capacities, and product gradations. He also managed after-sales training and support efforts and provided analysis for customer applications in the Asia-Pacific region, the Caribbean, and portions of Europe.
Through the Terex SAG Group, Slife was responsible for international project support and was named the group’s primary contact for Bechtel on Terex projects in Croatia, Romania, Panama, and Turkey.
Slife’s involvement included equipment support for complete aggregate processing systems that produced materials employed in major projects, such as the development of Eastern Europe’s motorway project, an aggressive interstate-like highway project connecting the former Soviet Bloc countries with Western Europe.
A lifelong crushing industry veteran, Slife’s early professional career began with Iowa Manufacturing Co., the predecessor to Cedarapids, as a sales trainee in 1985. Slife was then named North Central area manager for Cedarapids, managing eight dealers and providing sales, training, and installation start-up support through 1991.
Then J.W. Bell, a Cedarapids dealer for the states of Iowa and Nebraska, hired Slife to manage their crushing, screening, and washing equipment projects, as well as special projects work. He returned to Cedarapids in 1994.
