Michelin headlines XHA 2 radial tire at AGG1 2013
The tire, built in part for quarry stockpile work, succeeds the XHA tire. The XHA 2 features a larger contact path, wider tread pattern, wider footprint, 9-percent deeper tread and at least 5-percent more wear life than its predecessor.
Other new features include a thicker band of rubber, a newly-designed protective rib at the edge of the shoulder tread, strengthened sidewall and shoulder, enhanced grip, reduced fuel consumption, new casing and new belt design.
The XHA 2 also has a self-cleaning asymmetrical tread, and the tread design reduces vibration.
The tire is available in sizes 20.5R25, 23.5R25, 26.5R25, 29.5R25 and 875/65R29.
