Smaller, updated screen

Powerscreen has developed the H5163R scalping and screening plant as a smaller, updated version of the 6203 plant introduced earlier. The new unit can handle materials up to 10 inches and produce up to 600 tons per hour of high-specification products.


New mining truck

Caterpillar has issued the D-series version of its 785 mining truck. The new 785D can be configured for payloads ranging from 142 to 155 tons. It has a 1,248 net horsepower, Tier 2 engine and can operate at altitudes of 14,000 feet with no derate. The 785D also features Cat’s “X body,” which includes greater volume capacity and mine-specific options.


New filling scales

Intercomp says its new filling scales are designed to weigh empty trailers at the point of filling and can accommodate a variety of trailer lengths, wheel configurations, and axle spacings. The modular, portable scales offer a total capacity of 120,000 pounds.


Waste-oil heaters

Reznor has introduced a pair of new, 250,000-btu waste-oil heaters. Designed to recycle used oils into shop heat, the RA-250 is a standard unit space heater, while the RAD-250 is a ductable furnace, designed to duct heat wherever it is needed.


More flexibility, capacity

Atlas Copco has redesigned its ROC L8RC drill rig to increase its performance and versatility. Able to drill blast holes or dewatering holes, the ROC L8RC can be converted from down-the-hole drilling to reverse-circulation (RC) drilling; RC mode is used for efficient in-pit drill grade control or shallow exploration holes, according to the company.


BRIEFS

Indeco says its new HP 25000 is the world’s largest hydraulic breaker. The 24,370-pound unit measures more than 14 feet high and has a 10-inch tool diameter. It can strike up to 460 blows per minute.


MTi Group says its new Solo BlastBag borehole plugs are designed to be deployed with one hand. The product features a patented two-speed aerosol latch that works in all temperatures.
