Quarry worker injured by accidental explosion

Kenneth Williams, a 51-year-old quarry worker, was injured by an accidental explosion that occurred at about 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 14, 2017, at Vermont QuarriesThe Post Star reports. Vermont State Police told the news agency that the man suffered minor facial injuries when blasting caps he was disposing of exploded. Luckily, his eyes were protected by the safety goggles he was wearing. He was taken to hospital where he was treated and released.
