Registration now open for Basic Supervisory Training
Registration is now open for Basic Supervisory Training Program in Nashville on Oct. 22-24, 2012.
The National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association (NSSGA) and Weir International Mining Consultants have collaborated to provide a program s with basic management principles from a mining industry perspective. Participants will learn about topics suited to both new and experienced supervisors and managers and their future development, including the following:
- Mandatory health & safety responsibilities
- Safety motivational techniques and performance measures
- Understanding the legal rights and responsibilities in the mining workplace
- Communication skills
- Conflict resolution and management
- Short-term and strategic planning
