Versatile portable impact plant
Grasan says its KRH1515 pit- or road-portable, primary impact crushing plant features a Hazemag APPH impact crusher with a fully automatic, hydraulic cylinder system that provides increased crusher capacity (up to 600 tons per hour), smoother operation, and more uniform products. Crusher adjustments have been simplified so no tools are needed. Features include a 45-inch-high crusher inlet, a hydraulic inlet hood that is secured with wedge pins for easy opening and closing, and a grizzly bypass chute. The unit is available with diesel or electric power and includes a skid-on/skid-off hopper and six independent hydraulic support legs for easy set-up and tear-down without a crane.
Caterpillar’s new 992K high-lift wheel loader offers a full 24 inches more dump clearance than its standard-lift counterpart. The machine has a rated payload capacity of 21 tons. Hinge-pin height at full lift is 24 feet, 9 inches. When equipped with a 14-cubic-yard bucket, dump clearance under the teeth at full height and 45-degree discharge angle is 17 feet, 2 inches; with 15- and 16-cubic-yard buckets, dump clearances are 16 feet, 11 inches and 16 feet, 9 inches, respectively. The wheel loader features many improvements, including positive flow control hydraulics and additional sensors at the pumps for enhanced responsiveness.
Improved cycle times and savings
Superior Industries says its new, extra-large-capacity RazerTail truck unloaders are available with a 72-inch-wide by 75-foot, 6-inch-long belt. The unit is engineered to handle material up to 8-inch minus, and features a deeper hopper and an 8-foot, 6-inch grate with a large 9-foot by 9-foot grate opening. The unit requires only 44-inch earthen ramps and features a hydraulically raised conveyor and optional self-cleaning ramps. The series also includes a low-profile model with a 72-inch belt and 22-inch earth ramp requirement, and a 48-inch belt model with a 32-inch earth ramp requirement (also available in an adjustable height discharge model).
Heavy-duty, steel-housed bearing
Baldor Electric Co. says its steel-housed, heavy-duty, S-2000 bearing is designed with a high-capacity, double-row, spherical bearing element that provides misalignment tolerance. The bearing features a set-screw shaft mount with a cast-iron housing specifically designed for heavy-duty applications. The bearings are available in pillow block and flange configurations.
Multiple-product portable plant
Inertia Machine Corp.’s new closed-circuit, 4048 FRAP mobile plant is engineered with a 48-inch by 12-foot vibrating grizzly feeder; a horizontal shaft impact crusher; a 6-foot by 18-foot, high-frequency, two-deck screen; and onboard conveyors that allow producers to process multiple products. Additional features include two adjustable aprons for high reduction ratios; reversible and interchangeable apron and housing liners; a large open-style ribbed rotor; a 7-cubic-yard, non-heaping hopper; a 42-inch delivery conveyor; a 24-inch second deck product conveyor; and a 48-inch fines conveyor.
Lake Erie Portable Screeners says its new portable screener can be towed virtually anywhere and set up in minutes. The Pitbull 2300 features a 47-horsepower, Tier 4-compliant diesel engine; two-tier shaker table with quick-change two-piece screens; hydraulic leveling system; and adjustable-height stacking conveyor. The unit offers a large 78-inch by 76-inch screen area with a deep loading apron. The table design includes two sizes of screens that can be changed out quickly.
