To create conveying efficiencies, start with a good plant design and quality belt material.
Metso Minerals Industries, Inc.
Metso offers a wide range of conveyor belting with high-tensile strength, good flexibility, and resistance to edge wear. Its molded-edge belt construction with rubber belt cover protects the fabric from moisture, dirt, rock, and other foreign material. Each belt is manufactured to a specific width, making it easier to train and track.
Overland conveyors can move materials easily from one point to another in the pit and in the processing plant.
Excel says its overland conveyors feature a heavy-duty design and quality components built to outlast and outperform the competition. Sizes range from 50 to 500 feet and beyond, based on customer needs.
Telescoping conveyors give an operation increased flexibility when it comes to stockpiling capabilities.
Masaba says its Magnum telescoping conveyor can help operations avoid costly material segregation issues. According to the company, the stinger’s track technology provides constant positive traction and smooth operation. Features include hassle-free, quick set up from road travel to operation mode; variable-speed power travel; and a swing axle design that the company says is the widest, most stable footprint available. PLC operation is simple with four functional programs, a large color touch screen, and NEMA class components.
Superior says its TeleStacker conveyor can build radial windrow, radial conical, inline windrow, or inline conical stockpiles as large as 275,000 tons when equipped with the company’s PilePro Automation package. Featuring an easy-to-use touch screen, the system can recall up to four previous pile projects, includes an optional remote, and can be upgraded onsite.
