Top RollOuts of the Year 2009

Martin Engineering

Skirting extends wear life of belts

Martin Engineering says its improved Apron Seal skirtboard sealing system provides two wear surfaces on a single elastomer sealing strip installed along the bottom of the skirtboard in a belt conveyor loading zone. When the bottom side of the strip is worn, the sealing strip is inverted, providing a second service life.

Superior

Efficient loading/unloading

Superior Industries’ new Slide-Pac three-unit conveyor system has a roll-style slide-off system for safe, speedy unloading of the top two conveyors from the bottom trailer unit. The system is available in lengths of 60, 70, and 80 feet for up to 240 feet of conveyor length.

Crushers and Components

Columbia Steel

Anti-slab jaws

Columbia Steel Casting Co., Inc.’s new anti-slab jaws are based on traditional and high-tooth jaw designs, but with additional raised slab breakers in pitch with conventionally located teeth. Jaws are available in standard manganese steel alloy and in Xtralloy premium manganese.

Sandvik

Small, powerful crusher

Sandvik says its new CJ208 jaw crusher offers a combination of lightweight equipment and heavy-duty crushing applications, and is easy to operate and maintain. The crusher’s bolted feet allow it to be used as a stationary unit with zero-degree inclination or as a mobile unit with five-degree inclination.

Automation

BedRock Software

Mobile equipment simulation-capable software

BedRock Software, LLC says its new AggFlow with track-mounted (mobile) equipment simulation capability allows users to calculate mass aggregate and water balances flowing through a plant simulation using stationary and mobile equipment. The program helps track and reduce emissions and fuel consumption by refining overall plant efficiency.

FLSmidth Excel

Affordable, aftermarket hydraulic system

FLSmidth Excel LLC says it new Sentinel Advanced Hydraulic System is an affordable, aftermarket solution for aggregate producers who want to automate their cone crusher’s clearing capabilities without the purchase of a new crusher.
