Authorities have identified two teens as suspects in a quarry theft near Troy, Missouri, KMOV reported .
Authorities caught the teens, Dylan Huber, 18, and Joshua Wilcockson, 19, with more than 100 pounds of explosives that had been reported as stolen from the Fred Weber quarry in Lincoln County.
Huber has been charged with stealing an explosive weapon, first-degree tampering with a motor vehicle and first-degree trespass motivated by discrimination. Wilcockson is still at-large.
Detectives said Huber admitted to riding an ATV and drinking beer at the quarry on May 14. Authorities said when the two noticed large pieces of scrap metal on the property, they left and returned with Wilcockson’s truck to collect the scrap metal. Detectives said the teens broke into a secured trailer in hopes of finding more scrap metal inside. The two allegedly stole 100 pounds of explosives from the trailer.
Authorities took custody of the explosives after locating them at Wilcockson’s home.
The investigation is still ongoing. To report any information about the theft, call 636-528-8546 or visit lcsdmo.com .
