Unemployment rates up from January to February in 27 states, down in seven states
Seasonally adjusted unemployment rates increased from January to February in 27 states, decreased in seven states and the District of Columbia, and remained unchanged in 16 states, the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reported on March 26, according to the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) Data DIGest report. Compared to February 2009, jobless rates increased in 46 states plus D.C. and declined in four, according to the Data DIGest report.
