volvoce_ec750e_excavatorThe EC750E is Volvo’s largest North American excavator to date. The 75-ton unit was designed to deliver heavy lifting power and high productivity without sacrificing fuel efficiency. The machine is said to deliver up to 15 percent higher productivity with 5 percent more fuel efficiency than its predecessor, the EC700CL. The excavator is powered by a 516-horsepower, Tier 4 Final, Volvo D16J engine. When combined with larger diameter boom cylinders and increased working pressure, the unit delivers a 7-percent increase in digging force and a 4-percent boost in hydraulic flow. A new range of buckets — including general purpose heavy-duty, and extreme-duty designs — also contributes to increased productivity by offering up to 10 percent more bucket space.
