Volvo’s F-Series artic haul trucks for off-road conditions
The new F-Series articulated haul trucks from Volvo Construction Equipment — ranging from the 26.5-ton A25F to the 43-ton A40F — meet Tier 4 Interim and Stage IIIB emissions legislation. The machines’ articulated steering system assists operators in tough off-road conditions, such as deep mud, and at high hauling speeds. The self-compensating hydro-mechanical system also assists with short turning circles and in confined loading and dumping areas, such as with tight turns on haul roads. The electronically controlled, six-cylinder, turbo-charged Volvo V-ACT diesel engine features high torque at low engine speeds.
