Multilingual minerals processing book
W.S. Tyler has made The Rock Book, its minerals processing resource, available in three additional languages. The book features information about technologies, definitions and specification tables for screening, washing and pelletizing operations. This resource is offered free of charge in print, online or as a downloadable PDF. It is now available in English, Chinese, French and Spanish.

Safety training program
Caterpillar has introduced Speak Up!/Listen Up! for Construction, a safety training program designed to encourage safety-related feedback. The tool is a collaboration with Caterpillar and 16 other contractors. Features include videos, presentation materials, handouts and a facilitator’s guide. The program is available in English, with general industry versions offered in 25 languages.

Guide for miners’ representatives
The Mine Safety and Health Administration has produced the “Miner’s Representative Guide,” a tool that expands upon the agency’s “Guide to Miners’ Rights and Responsibilities.” The new guide provides information about reporting hazardous conditions and imminent dangers, accident investigations, understanding the elements of discrimination under Section 105(c) of the Mine Act, health and safety training, petitions for modification of a safety standard, rights to information and records, civil penalties and requests under the Freedom of Information Act. The guide is available as a handbook and an online resource.
