Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin Wacker Neuson is expanding its mobile generator line upwards adding 180 kVA (prime) and 240 kVA (prime) sizes. These generators feature the same design philosophy Wacker Neuson has incorporated in its smaller mobile generators; compact, robust construction, lowest in class sound emissions, superior motor starting, user friendly operation and service, a broad range of factory installed options, all backed by a two year bumper to bumper warranty. In addition to new clean burning Tier III engines, standard features such as 115% fluid containment, crankcase oil vapor recovery system and no mess oil and radiator drain hoses make these new Wacker Neuson models some of the most environmentally friendly mobile generators on the market today.
Wacker Neuson engineers designed these generators from the ground up; mating the new John Deere Tier III engines to properly sized, high efficiency Mecc Alte alternators to ensure that full engine potential is achieved for maximize power output and fuel efficiency.
Both models come standard with integrated, long run fuel tanks that are 115% fluid contained; at 100% prime kW output, the G 180™s 300-gallon fuel tank provides 28 hours of run time while the G 240™s 400-gallon tank provides 30 hours of run time. In addition to long operation between fill ups, large tanks reduce the frequency of refueling, reducing cost and the opportunity for fuel spillage. A new fuel fill system has also been developed to allow for high speed refueling (up to 50 gallons per minute) while minimizing the chance for fuel spillage from foaming and backflow. Combined, these features allow Wacker Neuson to achieve the dual goals of lower operating costs and less impact on the environment!
The G 180 is switchable like the smaller Wacker Neuson models, offering simple, easy and safe selection of either three phase (low or high wye) or single phase (zigzag) power. The G 240 provides low and high wye three phase power by utilizing a unique reconnectable board that ensures proper voltage connection eliminating wiring errors and provides easy visibility to the selected voltage via a sight window on the control panel.
Finally, the reliable engine generator controller (EGC) with LCD readout is now seamlessly linked with the John Deere engine controller allowing all Deere engine diagnostic codes to be easily viewed making engine diagnosis simple and easy. The EGC is also setup for plug and play†connection to a number of remote monitoring systems including Master Trak.
Our team has really done their homework to create these new models that are robust, powerful and flexible enough for the most demanding jobs and environments while not forgetting about the environmentâ€, said Marc Leupi, Wacker Neuson™s utility product manager.
About Wacker Neuson
Wacker Construction Equipment AG (Munich, Germany) and Neuson Kramer Baumaschinen AG (Linz, Austria) have merged forming a major global manufacturer of light and compact equipment. In June 2008, the AGM resolved to rename the company Wacker Neuson SE and change its legal form to a European company (Societas Europaea). As a result of this merger, the USA subsidiary, Wacker Neuson Corporation now offers a line of compact equipment as well as continues to support and expand its complete line of light and climate control equipment designed for the construction, landscape, agricultural, utility, and homeowner markets.
