A 32-year-old woman was killed when a construction truck carrying gravel tipped over and crushed her car, the Contra Costa Times reports. The accident happened at about 1:05 p.m. March 23 at a city capital improvement project that was using private contract construction workers, according to the police report. Family members at the scene confirmed the woman’s identity as Lindsey Combs.

According to the report, Martinez Police Lt. Aaron Roth told investigators from the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health that the truck driver from JJR Construction asked the woman to move her car. When she got into the car to move it, the truck full of gravel tipped over, crushing her inside the car. A neighbor and several construction workers tried to get the woman out of the car, but were unable to because of the weight of the gravel truck. When police arrived, they found the truck on top of the woman’s car.
