Community Excellence Award won by Diablo Aggregate Plant

CalPortland‘s Diablo Aggregate Plant received Arizona Rock Products Association‘s (ARPA) 2016-2017 Community Excellence Award for its contributions to local communities over the past year. Judges gave special consideration for the team effort made by the plant during the Burrowing Owl Relocation Operation, which took place over an eight-month period. Volunteers from the community also helped with the owl project and were there eight months later when the owl tents were taken down and the birds were free to come and go.
