A worker at a cement plant in Iowa died after he was struck by a boom.

According to Quad Cities Online, the man was at the cement plant in Buffalo, Iowa owned by Continental Cement Company on Tuesday when the accident occurred. He was there with a contract towing company accompanying the tow operator as they tried to move a vacuum truck from the property. The victim was then hit by the tow truck boom.

The man was reported in stable condition when emergency responders arrived, but he ended up dying due to the severe head trauma once he was transported to the hospital.

The Mine Safety and Health Administration is helping investigate the accident to figure out what caused it.
