Cemex USA‘s Lytle Creek Quarry near Rialto, Calif., received the prestigious 2017 California Construction and Industrial Materials Association (CalCIMA) Excellence in Safety Award in the Large Aggregates category for its attention to safety. The award was presented Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017 during CalCIMA’s education conference.
“We are honored to be recognized by CalCIMA for the hard work by our employees at Lytle Creek Quarry,” says Cemex USA Regional President – West Region Eric Wittmann. “Safety is our priority at CEMEX, and this quarry is a shining example of how it’s done.”
CalCIMA also honored Cemex USA Fleet Maintenance Manager – West Region and Transportation Committee Chair Gary Clay with the “Spirit of the Industry” award for demonstrating professional core values of integrity, leadership, and commitment. Brian Mastin, Cemex USA’s Director of Environmental Services – West Region, received CalCIMA’s 2017 President’s Award for outstanding dedication to the mission and goals of CalCIMA and commitment to the preservation of the industry.
