VIDEO of the Week: The dry processing plant at Four Corners Materials’ Animas Glacier Facility

Four Corners Materials Aggregate SiteThis week’s video was taken at Four Corners Materials‘ (an Oldcastle Materials company) Animas Glacier Facility in Durango, Colo. As the dozer pushes material down from the bench, a wheel loader picks it up and feeds it to the dry processing plant, a Sandvik portable crushing/screening plant. The crusher, which automatically adjusts to what is being crushed, breaks the material down to 5-inch and sends it on to the screen, where all the 1-inch minus material is separated out and stockpiled. The 1- to 5-inch goes to another plant, where it is crushed to the desired size before being recirculated back through a screen and sent out to the product line.

After watching the video, be sure to read all about Four Corners Materials’ Animas Glacier Facility in the September issue of Aggregate Manager.
