SMYRNA, GA – December 29, 2010 – Sandvik’s GT60 tube drill steel permits today’s larger, high-performance top hammer drilis to drill deeper with greater accurately.  Drills like the company’s DP1500i, equipped with the GT60 system, allow operators to drill to 80-foot depths with hole alignment deviation of less that 1 percent.

The DP1500i is an intelligent, hydraulic, self-propelled, crawler-based top hammer drill. Intelligent systems provide information on the condition of the drill and the work performed among other drilling performance factors.

The new GT60 system features a shoulder-drive tube design which delivers added life and hole straightness benefits. GT60 is available in 60, 87 and 96 mm diameter sizes.
