McLanahan is introducing its new line of MD Vibratory Screens that are compact, high-capacity dry screening units used in a variety of industries. The company says the screen will provide producers with more tons per hour per square feet of screen surface area and handle much larger capacities than conventional screens, while occupying the same, or less, space. It is capable of making multiple product sizes simultaneously as progressively smaller material sizes are separated from deck to deck.
The MD Vibratory Screens are available in widths ranging from 19 inches (0.05 m) to 78 inches (2 m) with 1 to 5 screen decks, depending on the application. It is said to be capable of handling feed sizes as large as 3 inches and can make size separations down to approximately 60 mesh. The company says its design concept reduces the risk of pegging and blinding, while achieving high capacities due to its ability to make a separation at a given size using a mesh aperture of greater size.
To provide an even longer screen life, larger particles are removed by heavier, larger screens, while finer screens handle smaller particles and only a portion of the incoming feed. Additional features include a compact design, minimal maintenance, low power requirements, and a product that is totally dust enclosed.
